I'm very excited to have come across this website.

I have dreamed to open a hostel since my first backpacking trip in 2007. I finally have the opportunity to pursue this dream in the U.S. (although I always wanted to open it in Europe to travel around on the weekends...but maybe sometime in the future)

If everything goes well, I can be open by the end of the summer (bad timing but better than nothing!)

Hi I'm Jules,

A proud owner of a new Backpackers hostel in Malaysia. I'm 29 and am currently working full time at a Pilates Studio as a Pilates Instructor. I love travelling, and have never started a business before, so this new project is my passion, and am learning the ropes as the hostel evolves. Am hoping to receive lots of guidance, support and build contacts.

*How did you first become interested in hostels? - I like travelling, and meeting people. Also wanted to provide a transit point for people to rest, heal, learn and move on.
* Where are your favourite destinations? - Thailand, Laos, India, Australia... Europe? Never been there tho...
* Do you know of any good places where new hostels should be opened up?- Nope, care to share?

I'm Timo,47.I live in Salzburg,Austria.I come from Finland and been living in Austria the last 8 yrs.I work in hotel as a dishwasher/ janitor.I looking for a job and came across this site.I used to stay in hostels alot mostly in Germany and Austria,but also Italy,Denmark.Nowaways I mostly stay in a single room which all hostels dont have also there are age limits in somer countries I am not getting younger

I work at HI New York, in charge of our community and outreach programs.

How did you become interested in hostels?

I first stayed in a hostel in Holland in 2000 and loved the experience, and have pretty much only stayed in hostels ever since.

I love traveling in Brazil. The diversity of people and geography is incredible, and the music is unbeatable.

Utah! Easily the most beautiful place I've been recently, and yet very little hostel presence.
