Introduce Yourself
Hi,
I worked in hostels for many years and realized that there weren't many resources for people who run hostels or who want to open a hostel. I hope that you enjoy the site and find it useful. If you have any suggestions on how to make the site better, please let me know. My goal is to create a resource that will promote hostels and hostelling, especially in places where hostelling is not as common (e.g., here in the USA). Post in this section to introduce yourself to the other forum users.

Hi I'm new here as you can tell. I'd like to start a hostel eventually although I realise there are many hurdles to cross! So over the coming months I'll be asking all sorts of questions I hope!

Hi everyone,
My name is Marília and I have a hostel in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais, Brazil) since August last year. We started with only 13 beds, but now we have 24 and soon opening a new (small) hostel in Ouro Preto (a colonial town 100km from BH). As we are kind of "growing fast" and I had no experience with hostels before (except as a traveler) many, many doubts have come up. I'm happy having found this place and I can say that reading some of the posts has already helped me with some of my concerns. =)

Im from Madrid, Spain, im very interesting to get all kind of legal information of how to open hostel or b&d in New York.
We are two friend, Pablo which have a university school grade of tourism bussines and me that im just a enthusiants that have travel a little bit around world and love New York City.
It would be very interesting to us contact, with owners or workers of a hostel in New York that could help us in this adventure.
