Introduce yourself
Hi,
I worked in hostels for many years and realized that there weren't many resources for people who run hostels or who want to open a hostel. I hope that you enjoy the site and find it useful. If you have any suggestions on how to make the site better, please let me know. My goal is to create a resource that will promote hostels and hostelling, especially in places where hostelling is not as common (e.g., here in the USA). Post in this section to introduce yourself to the other forum users.

Hi there!
My name is Susana.
Until recently I have been working as a industrial and interior designer. Recently I decided to steer away from that occupation. Being a fan of interior, decoration and cosy spaces, as well as of knowing people I am thinking about getting into the hostel business. I always wanted to run my own business and this might just the best choice.
I'm, of course, willing to learn more about this business and I'm very thankful that this community is so helpful to newcomers.
Cheers,
Susana

Hey,
My name is Ozge, I am from Ankara/Turkey
I was Formal Project Coordinator and Board Member of United Nations Association Turkey, Associate Director of Public Relations and Delegate Affairs of Model UN, and now I am Director of Public/Media Relations of 5th World Youth Congress.
I am an open minded person who loves to meet people from diverse background, learn more about other cultures and participate in international projects/events. I have stayed in a lot of Hostels around Europe before, I enjoyed so much. I want to be a part of it now, more than staying for a few days. I am interested in learning an other language like French, German...While learning language and looking for Master Applications around, I would like to work. Hostels are more like for youth, very comfortable places for us. We have chance to meet a lot of people and have fun together . I want to improve myself and gain international experience. I have participated in a youth project in France, and hired by UN New York via UN Turkey office for an international conference in Istanbul, was part of organization team of Model UN which brought at least 400 delegates together around the world..I am having fun. :)
