Hi,
I worked in hostels for many years and realized that there weren't many resources for people who run hostels or who want to open a hostel. I hope that you enjoy the site and find it useful. If you have any suggestions on how to make the site better, please let me know. My goal is to create a resource that will promote hostels and hostelling, especially in places where hostelling is not as common (e.g., here in the USA). Post in this section to introduce yourself to the other forum users.

Hi to all!
We are managers of Eurostar Hostel in Belgrade, Serbia.
Hostel was open in February this year, and we are here for last two months trying to get this hostel as glamorous as it can be :)

It's a big and pleseant surprise for me to find this site accidentally for I plan to open a hostel with my friends in China but we all have no such experience. I sincerely hope we can get some help here.

Hello everyone, I have been reading through the many forums to obatain information for starting a hostel in my hometown. I have great ideas and really look forward to reading up on more information. I would like to open up my own hostel and have even found the building I would like to use. I am interested in getting first hand experiance from someone near me that has a hostel already running. This will help me learn the flow and upkeep of my hostel. Any suggestions, let me know.

Hi,
I'm Tim from Atlantic Point Backpackers in Cape Town, South Africa!
We are a brand new hostel, we feel that we are offering people something special.
We will strive to constantly improve and continiously work with people to be better and give our advise. Even though we are new we are willing to contribute to the awesomeness of Backpacking :)
