On the credit card issue. Does paypal allow you to get virtual credit card confirmation and payment when a customer check out and wants to pay with credit card?

What kinds of systems does your hostel use to manage reservations and guests?
Here are some of the ones that I have seen:
- Paper reservation and accounting system
- Excel or OpenOffice spreadsheet
- roomMaster 2000

- ASSD (including Gomio's version)
- Hostelworld's Backpack software

Thank you for your view. I look at your site and yes it looks very good. What kind of system are you using to receive credit card payments before and when check out? Do you use IWB?

Paypal charges 2.9%
Here in LV they charge 3.4%
Paypal confirms payment immediately and you have access to the funds immediately, not days later.
Not the case here - had to wait for days to get confirmation.
JCJ, I suggest you get a software that does allocations to agents (as many as you want) automatically, otherwise you will be spending a lot of time on that instead of running your hostel.

With Hosteloffice where you able to have your own booking, but also integrate automatically with the main four engines, I mean it worked ok with HW, HB, Gomio and hostelTraveler?

Never got a single booking from Gomio, plenty from others.

OK, nothing from Gomio. I thought Gomio was good to get european travellers.
From your answer I deducted that integration with the rest worked well. I don´t mean bookings, just system integration, so everything works smothly and automatically when your system conects to the different engines.

hello there,
actually i am looking for an interface software that can handle an microsoft access management software and can update my availability with the web sites... i have seen one version of online-int and asked them about prices but up till now they didnt respond!...
does anyone here knows about programs that ONLY do the web sit availability for me instead of letting me log in and do all that work by hands in an ammount of time.
